| Theories
that have been advanced in this case include:
1. The Loner Theory. According to the Warren
Commission, Oswald acted entirely alone in assassinating
President Kennedy.
2.
The Cuban Theory. Since the CIA had been
attempting to assassinate Fidel Castro, Cuba's intelligence
service, the DGI, retaliated. When DGI agents met with Oswald
on his trip to Mexico City they induced him to shoot Kennedy.
3.
The Anti-Castro Theory. To exact vengeance
for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, an anti-Castro group,
possibly using a False Flag, manipulated Oswald into killing
Kennedy.
4.
The Mafia Theory. Mafia operatives recruited Oswald
on his stay in New Orleans and induced him to shoot Kennedy.
They then arranged for Jack Ruby to silence Oswald.
5.
The KGB Theory. The KGB recruited Oswald during his
defection to the Soviet Union and trained him in Minsk as
a sleeper agent. After the Cuban Missile confrontation,
the KGB used him to kill Kennedy.
